Surt Lim (Writer & Creator)
Surt's passion for manga and anime led her to found Monkey Square, a company of fellow manga enthusiasts intent in creating high quality, original English manga-style graphic novels for publication in the US and rest of the world.

Surt has been writing for as long as she could remember and Hanabi is her first graphic novel. She'll be happy to answer all of your emails, so please don't hesitate to contact her!

Hirofumi Sugimoto (Artist & Co-Creator)
A talented and versatile manga/anime artist from Yokohama, Japan, Hirofumi Sugimoto is currently working on creating Hanabi, Monkey Square's first manga series.

Hirofumi works closely with Kodansha, a well-known Japanese publisher, and his skills are highly valued as he is often called to enhance various manga artists’ works. His current works are color pages and front cover for Shinya Kuwabara’s “R-16” book (part of Weekly Young Magazine – Kodansha), and computer graphics and color pages for Satoshi Shiki’s “X Blade” (part of Monthly Sirius). His past works include concept artwork for "RUN=DIM" CG animation with Idea Factory and color/art for Wrench Studios.

Harumi Ueno (Translator)
Based in Tokyo, Harumi Ueno is instrumental in the Hanabi project. (By the way, the character Harumi in Hanabi is not taken after her. ^_^).

Harumi-san is the bridge between the writer and the artist, ensuring a smooth flow of translated work and communication in the completion of project milestones. She, like the rest of the Hanabi team, is a life-long manga enthusiast and provides great insights during Hanabi project.
